- A scanned copy of the valid passport information page
* The passport’s validity period must cover the applicant’s period of stay in China
- A digital ID photo
* The photo must be taken within the last six months. It should be in color, format *.jpg / *.jpeg / .png, minimal dimensions 295×413 px and maximal size 200 KB.
- Academic documents:
*For degree program applicants: A high school diploma and official high school transcripts. Applications must also provide a certificate of HSK Level 4 or above.
*For short-term Chinese Language program applicants: Official university transcripts from the home institution.
If the originals are not in English or Chinese, a certified translation in one of these languages must be provided.
- A scanned copy of the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners, issued by a medical institution authorized by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in the applicant’scountry.
- A Certificate of No Criminal Record issued by the local police authority and duly authenticated by the Chinese Embassy / Consulate General in the applicant’s country.
Visa Information
-Programs over 6 months: apply for X1 visa (JW202 Form + Admission Letter will be issued).
-Programs up to 6 months: apply for X2 visa (DQ Form + Admission Letter will be issued).
-Tourist visas are not accepted.
Application Procedures
1. ApplicationTime
Degree programs:
-Application must be submitted by June 15 for Autumn (September) admission only;
-Spring admission is not available.
Short-term Chinese Language Program:
- Over 6 months: Apply Oct.–Dec. (Spring admission) or Apr.–Jun.(Autumn admission)
- Up to 6 months: Apply must at least 5 months in advance.
2. Submission
- Email all required materials (electronic copies) to internationalscbc@gwng.edu.cn
- Mail the printed copies to:

3. Admission & Visa
- Upon approval, all applicants will receive a Letter of Admission.
**Applicants for programs over 6 months will also receive the JW202 Form for visa application.
**Applicants for programs up to 6 months will also receive the DQ Form for visa application.
- Apply for a student visa (X1/X2) at the local Chinese Embassy with these documents and a valid medical report.
4. Arrival & Registration
- Register at SCBC as scheduled.
- Free airport pick-up is available within specified dates if the flight itinerary is sent in advance and confirmed.
