SCBC Holds Flag-Raising Ceremony to Celebrate National Day



To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, SCBC held a National Day flag-raising ceremony on September 29th in the plaza in front of Building C. During the ceremony, Wang Liming, Secretary of the Communist Youth League of SCBC, delivered a speech. He summarized that our faculty and students have strived for excellence and achieved numerous honors in various endeavors and competitions. Looking ahead to the upcoming 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & the 9th National Special Olympic Games, he emphasized that the faculty and students of SCBC will once again set out to write new chapters of glory. Subsequently, Wang Liming encouraged students to recognize the responsibilities of their generation and put forward three hopes: First, to strengthen ideals and convictions while cultivating a deep sense of patriotism; second, to study diligently and to hone skills while dedicating themselves to great endeavors; and third, to courageously shoulder the responsibilities of the times and demonstrate the capabilities of youth.








SCBC Students Win 4 Medals at 2025 GCSNLAPI Competition


On October 12, the finals of the 2025 Guangdong College Students New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Competition concluded successfully at South China Agricultural University. Four teams representing SCBC stood out in fierce competition through their solid professional expertise, innovative practical thinking, and outstanding teamwork, ultimately securing an outstanding achievement of 1 gold, 1 silver,and 2 bronze medals.

Centered on the theme “Integration, Innovation, Empowerment, Practice,and Renewal,” the competition featured four specialized tracks—Humanities, History, and Philosophy; Economics, Management, and Law; Education; and Arts. It actively encouraged college students to form interdisciplinary teams, applying their expertise to address real-world societal challenges, thereby establishing a high-level platform for exchanging and showcasing new liberal arts practice-based teaching across national universities. Our university's entries in  Economics-Management-and-Law category particularly shone. The project “Research on Mechanisms for Precise Rural Assistance Through Government-Enterprise-University Alliances in the New Liberal Arts Context: A Case Study of Yangcun Town” secured the gold award for its in-depth investigation into rural revitalization challenges and innovative solutions. The project “Picture Book Creators: Building and Practicing a Multidimensional Picture Book Creation Space” earned a silver award for its novel educational practice model. Two other projects, “Research on Healing Space Design Guided by Psychological Stress Relief” and “In-Depth Exploration of Brand Promotion and Innovative Development Models for Tanbin Cinnamon of Luoding City,” both received bronze awards for their comprehensive foundational research and practical value.

20 SCBC Students Embark on Exchange Program at TFSU


On October 12, 2025, SCBC Vice President Wang Mingyu led a delegation to escort our 20 students to Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU), ensuring their smooth arrival and successful registration. That same day, Zhou Honglei, Secretary of the Party Committee of TFSU, along with heads of relevant departments, attended the welcome reception. During the meeting, TFSU issued campus cards to our exchange students, provided detailed explanations of class assignments and Industry-Academia Collaboration program, and addressed questions about academic and daily life through face-to-face communication. This enabled our exchange students to efficiently complete their enrollment preparations on their first day. Representatives from both universities subsequently signed a cooperation agreement.

Zhou Honglei extended a warm welcome to our delegation. She reflected on the deep friendship and solid cooperative foundation established between our two universities over the years. She emphasized that in this new phase of development, strengthening inter-university collaboration, particularly in student exchanges and joint training programs, holds significant importance for aligning with international trends in higher education, optimizing talent cultivation models, and achieving resource sharing and complementary strengths. TFSU pledged to provide our exchange students with high-quality and comprehensive learning and living facilities and resources as well as rich cultural experiences to ensure they gain knowledge and enjoy their stay.

SCBC Vice president Wang Mingyu expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception and meticulous arrangements by TFSU. He emphasized the significant value of this exchange program in broadening students' horizons, immersing them in diverse academic environments, and enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills. He encouraged the exchange students to cherish this valuable opportunity, adapt swiftly to their new environment, engage actively in their studies, immerse themselves in Tianjin's culture, and showcase the exemplary spirit of our university's students. He also urged them to serve as ambassadors of friendship between the two parties, fostering deeper exchanges and cooperation.

The successful arrival of these exchange students marks a new phase inthe partnership between SCBC and TFSU. Both universities look forward to leveraging this exchange as an opportunity to elevate existing cooperation to a new level.
